Business Problem

The existing data platform used to store notifiable disease data which is then used by Epidemiologists and contact tracers is ageing, out of support, requires disparate workarounds, has no visbility to states and territories, and is significantly inefficient.

Our Role

Bdna have been engaged to perform a significant review of the current state of the data flows, architecture, business processes, and to propose a future state architecture. Delivery of these documents has been completed entirely remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Outcome

The NINDSS project is still currently procuring a solution to replace its outdated data repositories and analysis tools. The documentation that Bdna has provided will allow both the DoH and the future vendor to have a detailed understanding of the current state and future expectations in subsequent stages of the project.
