Cairns & Hinterland goes digital

Business Problem

Cairns & Hinterland Hospital and Hospital Service (CHHHS) needed to make large scale changes across the whole health service as part of its overall Digital Hospital vision. With a tight delivery timeline and the need for skilled project and analytical services, CHHHS selected Bdna to help design, deliver and implement the integrated electronic Medical Record (ieMR).

Our Role

Bdna’s lead role in this transition include managing the configuration of the ieMR software to align with local hospital healthcare delivery as well as design and implementation of the new clinical workflows.

Bdna worked directly with local clinical and administration staff to co-design change management strategies that would maximise the uptake of new Digital Hospital capabilities.

Outcome

There was a high degree of ‘behind the scenes’ support and coordination which enabled Bdna to fast-track delivery streams and work directly with stakeholders to co-design the new solution. This focus allowed a more integrated view of the outcomes and benefits from the new solution. The HHS was also able to successfully deliver each of the milestone points within the planned delivery windows.
